Root:- hairs without and pores within. It's a continously shrinking finite presence of one kind of life inside another, supplanted by the opposite extreme as well. The way roots go on and on into hairs and ever thinner hairs, down to a seemingly endless degree, is reciprocated by the openings filled by air and water, "the outside life", present within this semi-closed system.
I like to say "Life is controlled chaos." I guess I would have to rephrase that as "Life is chaos Contained." The plant entity makes no attempt to put a handle on what's happening in it's outside extremeties, or the inside intremeties of IT's external world that inhibit it's insides. For simplification if we just isolate the root system- we see that it is not much more complicated than a Mandelbrot set in three dimensions, with a finite volume and a finite surface area. Have you ever stopped to think about the similarity of a root (down to the microscopic hairs, and what's happening inside them) with finite or infinite mathematical structures? Don't take my word for it. Question my discourse, never take anything on faith alone. I would like you to stop and contemplate on this yourself for a while.
It is easy to postulate that a Mandlebrot exhibited in three dimensions could possibly equal the beauty and complexity of a real, live root. Even though this hasn't been done before. But then again, we still don't know all the ways an infinite progression set could be exhibited, therefore let us not limit ourselves. The structure of a root may yet be created mathematically. Just because we don't yet have a mind-immersive hologram vision technology, doesn't mean that it will not soon be existing. That is yet another problem I will elaborate on in due time, it's a very simple solution. But we get ahead of ourselves... *smiling ear to ear* @e2e@ There is a more immediately important point we need to cover - about the way this book is being written.
I am not speaking in the possible as we currently know. Again:
I am talking about not what _is_ possible, but only excluding what is not. Apart from that, in our conversation, everything else is allowable. This point is so serious and important that I will repeat it with an analogy. I am talking not merely within about what is currently possible. I think about only what is not possible, and then by presenting the negation of that from the universal, ALL is said. To the Western Mind, this is a new way of grasping an idea - the negation of it. It will have to be grasped in due course and with sufficient practice.
In order to discuss the possibly conceivable mathematical replication of a truly detailed root-like entity (down to the molecular level, maybe?) we first need to set the ground rules. I wish not to leave my audience behind. You are either with me, or you feel I have already left you behind. Well, this teacher believes in the "No Child Left Behind" paradigm, so allow the digression to continue, and first solidify your understanding of the theoretical requirements of this immensly cerebral exercise. We will return to this thought @ *FRACTALS*
We have set ourselves up, in this chapter, to explore the ways we can make a feasable holographic viewing technology. which will be completely 3-dimensional to the point of conscious-immersion. We are talking about an environment that you see and feel as real, as opposed to the cheap immitations of TV that are currently being attempted by the big wigs of hardware design and manufacture - your Sony, Toshiba, Hitachi, Mastushita, Phillips, etc.
They haven't envisioned enough yet - we will.

Root:- basis, grounding, origination, end. It is the end of the circle that has no begining. It is the means by which the cycle continues. It is the essential, the indespensible. Root is the yang of the yin, the yin of the yang. It is the foundation of wisdom, yet wisdom cannot be attained unless it ends there. Read "That Which Transpires Behind That Which Appears" and know what I say. You will notice that I haven't touched the tree yet, except in the flow of creative thought (the poem.) All in due time, my fearless friend...
What I have talked about from these two converging approaches is one and the same thing. When you understand, you will know that you are ready.

Known to my peers as Teacher, (Proof: Dr. Henry Hamburger - GMU.edu, Prof. Zaki [Physics Instructor, named me: Gem of the Class], Major M. Ali [Mathematics: had me teach the class], Khurram Pervaiz, Atif Ahmad Khan - PAF College Sargodha) I am one that has so much to give, no venue was ever enough. Well, being Teacher myself, I decided to invent one. I am storing in these pages ideas of intrigue and creativity which will astound and amaze even the most confounding. I would have contacted the closest contemporaries that I am aware of - Nathan Myrvhold@Microsoft - but hey, what's meant to be will. In any case, Microsoft probably doesn't have adequate Digital Intelligence Systems to be abel to identify gold from grain, or -for that matter- what callibre of vision a mere paper elucidates. They cannot be blamed for missing so many of the most amazing opportunities of their lives. (Like the time when they almost licensed Apple's OS. Oooh, lets not get started!) Not everywhere do you have a confluence of vision and wisdom capable of perceiving a rising tide and being able to harness it. We all have ourselves to study, to find proofs of these statements...

All digressions aside, here's a brief overview of one possible methodoloty to realize the holographic system. Picture three flat strips of EM emitting diodes laid out in an equilateral (even-sided) triangle on the floor in the center of a room. Now picture another three strips on the roof, laid out in a similar triangle rotated along it's center by 60 degrees, so that if the ceiling were transparent and this setup could be viewed from the floor above, it would seem to form a Star of David. Now say we simultaneously flash one diode per side of the lower triangle at the same light wavelength/frequency in such a way that the interference of the three wavefronts forms an instantaneous line as the merging point rises from the meeting point between the three diodes and jumps to the roof before our eyes register it. That is, the crest at the confluence of the three waves rises to the roof (at a vertical velocity of cSin@, as the spheres which forms the wavefronts travel travels outward and meets the other two spheres. This is taking the "two-pebble-ripples-in-a-pond" idea and stretching it into three spacial dimensions while adding a third pebble. Do we need a medium like water, steam or smoke to make these co-inciding wavefrongs more visible? I'll leave that to the Edison's of our time. I'd be happier dying as a Tesla.
I am trying to say that this line might not be visible unless we have a slight smoke screen or some other medium which this merging-point of light (interference from three sources) can shine on and light up. Now take this one step further and light up diodes on the three strips on the roof, in such a way that the light interfenence point is coming down along the same line, and meets at a pre-calculated point at a predetermind time. What you have just attained is a flash of light, just for an instant, in three-dimensional space, or 4D space-time. Now it's just a matter of repeating it in regular flashes at a rate higher 24 times a second (i.e., higher than the threshold that defines the ability of the human eye to tell the difference.) This was just one point, at one set of frequency/wavelength. We have the whole EM spectrum available to us, not to mention what can be done with crest and trough interference as the lines travel along their intersection points, and the additional intersections that can come about from strips placed on opposite walls such that the intersecting point is amplified along two mutually independent axes... light insurance.. :-)
If this is starting to get a little bit technical, allow me to say that this idea is focused towards the educated lay person, educated more in an interest in gaining knowledge than in limited studies like physics, or optics, or lasers...
